Believers in multiple gods have many benefits. This type of religion avoids many issues associated with monotheism like omnipresence, evil, and so on. People who practice multitheism are less likely not to accept other gods. And it makes more sense than monotheism to avoid both of those problems.
Monotheism
Monotheistic Christianity emphasizes God's singularity. From the beginning, Israel's religion was monotheistic. A belief in multiple gods led to the idea of a single God.
Polytheism
The belief in multiple gods is polytheism. It's a religion where many gods are worshipped. Polytheism is often confused with paganism, but is a separate category. Polytheistic religions may worship all gods equally while others place gods according to hierarchical order. In either case, they all have different powers and each one may not have the ability to grant the desires of its followers.
Henotheism
Henotheism is also known as polytheism. It holds that there are many gods. Henotheists accept the existence and worship of many deities. However, they believe that only one primary deity is true. The Greek words "heism" and "theos", which mean one and "theos", respectively, give rise to the term henotheism. Henotheism is different from monotheism because belief in multiple gods is a choice rather than a religious obligation.
Pantheism
Pantheism refers to a philosophy that believes there are multiple gods. Pantheism places an emphasis on science and inquiry. It believes that understanding the universe will lead to the understanding God. This philosophy does not require the belief in an afterlife nor strict rituals. This philosophy is common among many non-Christian religions.
Animism

They believe everything is spiritual, but not all spirits have the same characteristics. Pantheists believe in one universal spiritual essence. But animists believe there are many spirits within each thing, each with its own unique personality. Animists see their self as part of nature and equal to the other forces.

Aztecs worshipped plant goddesses such as Mayahuel who is the goddess of the maguey. The sap of this plant is considered the blood of the deity. She also feeds a herd of 400 rabbits, which the Aztecs call Centzon Totochtin.
Polytheistic rulers

In contrast to monotheism, polytheism does not have a fixed set of gods, as is the case in monotheistic religions.
