
People often ask the question, "Is reiki safe?" The good news? It is safe. There have been no side effects. It does not interact with other medical treatments or aggravate fatigue. But, there are some mysteries surrounding the mechanism of Reiki.
No known negative side effects
Although reiki has some side effects, there is evidence that it can be beneficial for chronic pain patients. Reiki is used by many doctors and hospitals to ease the discomfort and stress of chronic illnesses. In addition to reducing pain, Reiki helps patients cope with other forms of stress, such as psychosocial or spiritual distress.
Reiki is thought to promote relaxation and emotional stress relief, as well as general health. It is not intended to replace or supplement medical treatment. Reiki can also help with stress management, and it may even be a form preventive medicine. Reiki sessions are thought to have positive effects on your mental, physical and emotional health.
Does not interfere with medical treatments

Blood pressure does not rise
Reiki does not increase blood pressure in healthy subjects, a study by the University of Tennessee, Austin, found. Researchers reviewed 13 peer-reviewed Reiki studies that were published between 1998 and 2016. The study included seven singleblind studies and four double-blind randomized studies. They also included studies using rats, short-term and long-term Reiki sessions, and clinical trials.
Reiki isn't designed to raise blood pressure. However, it has been proven to be effective at reducing blood pressure. During a Reiki session, the practitioner will be able to relax and feel the effects of the treatment. Reiki's effects are felt all over the body. It has been compared with Shi Feng and other medications used to lower blood pressure. Reiki reduces pressure by working on the blood vessels.
