Progressivism rejects the notion of a soul and seeks to replace it with an artificial, naturalistic reality. Progressivism is a movement that seeks to replace old beliefs with newer ones. However, it offers hope for society.
Progressives believe humankind is on "the right" side of history and can identify History's goals. They argue that progress is the inevitable result of changing human values, which ultimately leads to an idealized end of history devoid of religion or classes. Unfortunately, this view does not have any basis in empirical science. It is based upon an extravagantly religious and ideological outlook.
Eastern Orthodox Church
Some Westerners believe that the Eastern Orthodox Christian Church is a Western religious institution. They see this as unwarranted. But, there has been a disturbing incident. After wearing a cassock to a Washington, D.C. rally, a priest of the Orthodox Church, America was temporarily expelled. Other clergy have also voiced their political opinions via social media and personal blogs.
Orthodox Christianity's central concept is the Holy Trinity. It transcends Western religions. Orthodox Christians believe Christ suffered the death of a human being, was cast into Hell, then rose again to save sinners still trapped in Hell. In this way, he cleansed mankind from its guilt and extricated them from Hell.
